Folds 1
Project: Bellies, Buttes and Folds Model: Andy Year: 2018 Location: Oakland CA
Hello! I’m Curtis Walker. I take fat nude and semi-nude LGBTQI2S+ portraits, focusing on those of us at multiple intersections of identity. My primary goal is to help fat queer and trans people who feel isolated—as I have—see themselves in my work. My models and I are building community, advocating for Racial and Disability Justice, and celebrating our bodies and our lives.
What you see here is a sneak peek of things to come. In the future there will be links below to three galleries, one for each project. These projects represent a 7-year labor of love.
Thanks so much to all my models, mentors and friends for making this possible!
You must be 18 years or older to view this site as there is nudity, including erect genitals.
Please do not assume the genders of anyone you see here!

Project title: Bellies, Butts and Folds
This LGBTQI2S+ project is a celebration of fat bodies. My goal is to show our power, wholeness, and uniquenesses by focusing in on parts not always recognized for their beauty. This project is secondarily a response to anonymous fatphobic photos that demean us and rob us of person-hood. If faces are visible in the series, they are not the focus. One can read emotions in these images without facial expressions.

This is one of my newest pieces, taken in one of a model’s apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Two non-binary trans masc people asked me to capture them as one created a rope harness for the other. These two have matching tattoos of their jointly created word Fagguette that this piece is named after. My favorite thing about this photo is how the folds of skin on the model on the left are in motion as he reaches to carefully adjust rope on their partner, and the variations of tone, stretch marks and curves on both bodies. Here’s to Fagguette love! When discussing this piece in a virtual meet up of my models, the model on the left said, “this photo gave me a form of self love I didn’t even know I needed!”
